Day 1 & 2: Okavango Delta
Our representative will welcome you at Maun International Airport and help you onto a light aircraft flight to Nxabega Airstrip, where a safari vehicle will be waiting to take you to the campsite. Tucked under massive trees, this campsite is situated in an area with a number of permanent river channels. Explore the crystal-clear lagoons, islands and waterways by mekoro (dug-out canoe), and enjoy game-viewing walks on the islands. Spend two nights at our campsite in a private concession area with a complement of camp staff to cater for your needs. Awaken each morning to a chorus of birds or the chattering of monkeys and linger in the comfort of your fully sized bed as you listen to the sounds of your hot bucket shower bring filled with steaming hot water.
Day 3 & 4: Moremi Game Reserve
A short flight in a light aircraft takes you to Khwai in the Moremi Game Reserve. Covering approximately a third of the Okavango Delta, the Moremi combines permanent waterways with drier areas, creating a reserve filled with unexpected contrasts and diverse wildlife. Its riverine forests, tall mopane woodlands and spreading floodplains fringed with majestic palms make it one of Africa’s most scenic wildlife areas. The combination of habitats makes Moremi the ideal place for your expedition to combine typical savanna game viewing with leisurely cruises along lagoons and channels, and rich bird watching. Spend two nights camping in the Reserve, with extensive and interpretive game-drives taking up your days.
Day 5 & 6: Savute Channel, Chobe National Park
A long game drive (5-6 hours) takes you to Savute in the Chobe National Park, where you will spend two nights camping next to the dry Savute Channel in an area renowned for sightings of lion and other predator. The landscape around Savute is starkly beautiful, with an arid, almost desert-like feel. Mopane forest gives way to acacia savanna with rocky outcrops. Large areas of marshland that extended from the Linyanti River have dried up along with the Savute River, but several artificial watering holes attract a high concentration of wildlife.
Day 7 & 8: Serondela, Chobe National Park
Travel to northern Chobe (4-5 hours overland game drive), where you will camp for two nights in the Serondela area. This is the heart of elephant country and you may spend many hours watching the huge herds in and around the Chobe River on game drives or private boat cruises. Northern Chobe is renowned for its large variety of bird and animal life, beautiful scenery and magnificent sunsets.
Day 9: Victoria Falls
It is a short drive to Victoria Falls, where you can relax in a luxury tented suite at The Elephant Camp after a tour of the Falls. Toast the African sunset on a cruise along the banks of the mighty Zambezi River, watching the spectacular scenery slide by. Delight in the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a close encounter with the elephants at the Wild Horizons Wildlife Sanctuary.
Day 10: Departure
After breakfast at The Elephant Camp, you will be taken to Victoria Falls International Airport by road.
