Casablanca
Casablanca the principal city in Morocco is now the largest port of the Maghreb and is the countries center of commerce. Highlights include the central market, the Habous district, the Royal Palace, the Mohamed V square, the residential area of Anfa and the famous Hassan II Mosque.
Fes
The holy city of Fes is the kingdom's spiritual capital. Bustling with artisans and merchants, its captivating sounds, fragrances and colors mesmerize the visitor with a constant swirl of activity. Marrakesh
Framed by the snowy heights of the Atlas, with rose-coloured ramparts and a thousand year old palm grove, Marrakesh casts a magic spell. Sumptuous and exuberant, it radiates splendour and mysticism. The Koutoubia Mosque, dating from the 11th century, is a masterpiece of Hispanic- Moorish art and dominates the skyline. Rabat
Rabat has a long history as a capital city. In the 12th century, Yacoub el-Mansour, the great Almohad conqueror chose it to be the symbol of his splendour. The Merinides honored the city by making it the site of the Chellah necropolis, building on the ruins of the ancient Roman town of Sale. Other highlights include the Kasbah of the Oudaya and the King Mohammed V Mausoleum.
Meknes
One of the kingdom's imperial cities, Meknes was founded in the 11th century. The city's unity of style lends it undeniable charm, enhanced still further by the beauty of the surrounding countryside. As well as its fabulous monuments, such as Dar El Makhzen palace, the Sidi Saïd mosque, Bab El Berdaine, Bab El Khémis, Bab El Mansour, Bab Jemaâ En Nouar, the Moulay Ismaïl Mausoleum and the Kouba El Khayatine, Meknes offers impressive views of the Agdal basin. Not far from Meknes, the Roman city of Volubilis is an unforgettable treat for the tourist. The city is surrounded by 2,5 kilometers of ramparts, entered by six gates.
