Le Meridien Fisherman’s Cove re-opened 1st June 2004 as a five star resort and spa hotel following a complete refurbishment. Peacefully tucked away at the southern end of Beau Vallon, Le Meridien Fisherman’s Cove is a step away from white sand and turquoise sea with thatched roofs, granite walls, fountains and nothing higher than the coconut palm trees that surround it. The resort’s 70 guest rooms and suites all face the ocean and feature oversized bathrooms and a private terrace or balcony.

Le Meridien Fisherman’s Cove benefits from two restaurants, a bar, a fresh water pool, gym and spa. Its ideal location is only 30 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes from Victoria.

Sunset Beach Hotel – 4 Star

Perched atop a rocky promontory surrounded on three sides by the ocean, each of the 17 air conditioned rooms has its own private patio with panoramic sea view. Nestling in the rock face is a swimming pool and sun deck providing amazing views over the ocean. Just a few paces away is the hotel’s own secluded beach and fine snorkeling.

Plantation Club Resort – 4 star

The Plantation Club has it all – great facilities, a wide choice of room and suites and a superb setting in the heart of 180 acres of beautiful tropical forest just a few steps back from the mile-long Valmer Beach. All rooms are air conditioned and offer a high standard of accommodation including terrace or balcony and sea or lagoon views. The resort offers excellent water sports facilities plus live entertainment every night.

Coral Stand Hotel – 3 star

Located on beautiful Beau Vallon Bay beach, this 160 room hotel offers excellent air conditioned comfort. A larges selection of water sports are available including a PADI dive facility. The Island Trader restaurant and Beachside Bistro offer evening entertainment.

The Allamanda Hotel – 3 star

The Allamanda Hotel is a small hotel located in Anse Forban beach. The hotel offers a high level of service and hospitality in a delightful beach side setting. All 10 rooms are air conditioned and offer ocean views. Rooms are simply furnished but offer all the essential facilities. There is a restaurant, lounge and bar but no pool.

Lemuria – 5 star

Positioned at the foot of a tropical hillside along the beaches of Petite Anse Kerlan and Grand Anse, the Lemuria combines the ultimate in Seychelles luxury and natural beauty. The 96 Suites, 8 Villas and 1 Presidential Villa, all oriented towards the Indian Ocean, spreading over 101 hectares of land. The suites lie scattered along two pristine beaches, one southwest and one northwest. Each suite is positioned just 50 feet from the shore, discreetly nestled in the magnificent nature. Hotel L’Archipel – 5 star

The Hotel l’Archipel is located North-East of Praslin, at the end of the famous C”te d’Or, in a colorful and exotically scented tropical garden. The luxurious bungalows of the hotel L’Archipel nestle in the hillside overlooking a lovely private beach called Anse Gouvernement. All 23 rooms of the hotel are spacious with sea views, overhead fan and air-conditioning. All have a king size bed, direct line telephone, mini bar, tea and coffee making facility, safe, hairdryer, and satellite television. All have a terrace. The hotel’s pool is a few yards from the beach, as is the main restaurant. You can also take advantage of a full range of watersports.

Acajou Hotel – 4 star

This small hotel overlooks the beautiful Cote D’Or beach. The two rows of spacious rooms all have balconies with sea views. All rooms have air conditioning and are within a short stroll of the main pavilion with its restaurant and bar. There is also a pool.

Coco de Mer Hotel – 4 star

Located in Anse Bois de Rose beach, the focal point of this hotel is the unique pool shaped like the famous coco de mer that grows wild the Valle de Mai. The 40 air conditioned rooms provide a good accommodations and most have a sea facing terrace. The large rooms with four-poster beds, shower and bath, air conditioning, ceiling fans, minibar, telephone, television, hair dryer and safe are spread out along the beach. A wide selection of water sports are offered as well as tennis and squash courts.

Indian Ocean Lodge – 3 star

On the superb Grand Anse beach, the Indian Ocean Lodge offers a relaxed atmosphere with high levels of service. All 16 standard and 8 suites have king size four poster beds and a sea facing balcony or terrace. Each has air conditioning, TV, ceiling fan, telephone, verandah, mini-fridge, tea and coffee making facilities. There is a swimming pool down on the beach.

La Digue Lodge – 4 star

Here on Anse Reunion beach in a breathtaking location La Digue offers a wide choice of air conditioned rooms, chalets and suites. The beach front restaurant provides and informal setting in which to enjoy the fine Creole and international cuisine. A wide range of water-based activities are available including diving. Regular beach barbeques are a feature.

Patatran Village – 3 star

Patatran is a tiny idyllic village – 18 chalet style bungalows amongst the rock and vegetation that overlook Anse Palate beach. You can choose from spacious air conditioned standard rooms or superior rooms, all of which have their own balconies with stunning views. There is no pool.

Hotel L’Ocean – 3 star

In a charming secluded setting right at the northern tip of the island, L’Ocean is a small hotel with spectacular views of the Coco and Felicite Islands. Each of the 8 spacious rooms is air conditioned with its own balcony. The restaurant offers a fine selection of Creole and international dishes.

Set a few degrees south of the equator this island is the “Cousine” of the more renowned “Cousin” of Bird Life fame. Cousine’s proximity to Cousin island has made it a second haven for some rare species of bird life. The surrounding “satellite” islands provide the perfect “springboard” to explore other activities such as diving, discovery tours, etc. Cousine Island is situated only a few kilometers from Praslin and can be reached exclusively by helicopter. A helicopter ride from Mahe takes 10 to 15 minutes and the approach is quite spectacular as one gets to discover the “paisley” shaped island looming out of the blue with a rocky spine and lush green interior forest. A large stretch of beach borders the plateau where the villas and other quaint “colonial” houses are strewn. With an area of only 25 hectares, Cousine is one of the smallest in the granitic Seychelles group. The island is a private nature reserve, home to five of the Seychelles endemic birds and a nesting haven for a variety of seabirds and hawksbill turtle as well as a variety of other endemic flora and fauna. Between September to January, Hawksbill turtles come ashore to lay their eggs. The Seychelles Magpie Robin, on of the world’s rarest birds is found on the island. There are only 70 birds left in the world – 12 are to be found on Cousine. Other endemic birds are the Seychelles Brush Warbler, Blue Pigeon, Sunbird and Fody. Thousands of seabirds nest on the island throughout the year. These include Noddy and Fairy Terns, shearwaters and Tropicbirds. The conservation officer is available to take guest on guided walks and explain about various aspects of interest. The mission of the Cousine island owner is to promote and practice nature conservation and their aim is to share this philosophy with their guests.

The guestrooms comprise of four individual and luxury villas nestling amongst the natural vegetation, just 30 meters from the beach. Each villa is positioned to ensure maximum privacy. A maximum of 10 guests are accommodated at any one time and share the island with its natural inhabitants, offering some of the greatest nature watching available in Seychelles.

North Island is one of forty inner granitic islands of the Seychelles located around the two main islands of Mahé and Praslin. These granitic islands and their beaches are often referred to as the most beautiful on Earth. North Island Lodge is a rare sanctuary for guests seeking a gorgeous, unspoiled tropical haven on a large and private island

North Island Lodge

All the structures at North Island Lodge have been individually handcrafted to give it a unique atmosphere and the distinct flavor of the Seychelles. The main areas and all the villas are built directly on the eastern beach: a lounge, dining room and library, beautifully located health spa and gym, world-class dive centre, and a beautiful swimming pool are all built into a granitic outcrop. A sunset bar is tucked away on the western beach of the island.

There are only eleven handcrafted guest villas on the entire island. Each villa, about 5 000 square feet in size, is completely self-contained and comprises a luxuriously proportioned air-conditioned bedroom with overhead fans, fully retracting sliding windows with views onto the beach, and a writing and change-room area with a huge en-suite bathroom. Each bathroom has a large bath, double vanities, as well as an indoor and outdoor shower. An additional study or bedroom is equipped with a DVD/CD system and Internet access if requested. This room can be rearranged as a second bedroom to accommodate children. Each villa has its own mini-kitchen, a large sun deck and covered lounge area, a private plunge pool and sala, all of which creates a private sanctuary within a sanctuary. A full butler service caters for every need, from in-villa light meals to picnics on secluded beaches. Each villa has its own mountain bicycles and an island buggy to get guests around the island.

Activities included in the tariff are: excellent snorkeling right off the beaches, scuba diving to the reefs around North and Silhouette Islands (as well as the use of the equipment from the dive centre), nature walks, mountain biking and the use of the island buggy, windsurfing, sea kayaking, fly-fishing around the island, hobie sailing and the use of the gymnasium. Drinks and all meals are also included in the tariff. Yacht charters, deep-sea fishing, golf on Praslin (18-hole course but requires a private helicopter transfer), in-villa massage and spa therapy are at additional cost, as are drinks on the reserve list.

This small island, lying about one hundred 60 miles from Mahé, is the northernmost of the Seychelles islands, and a favorite for ornithologists. The island owes its name to the thousands of birds which have turned it into their home. From May to September, the air resounds with the chirping and cooing of birds, accompanied by over a million and a half terns which nest on this island. Officially, it is known as the “Island of Cows” because of the numerous sea cows, or dugongs, which used to be found here in the past. Bird Island can be easily reached, for it is only a half-hour flight from Mahé.

Desroches is the model of an island with fine sand and coconut trees. The island is 4 mlies long and ½ mile wide, and has a population of about forty living in one small village. Its only attraction is a small shop which opens once a week.It is the largest coralline island in the Amirantes sand I sa paradise for divers who can discover one of the most beautiful coral gardens of the Indian Ocean.

Desroches Island Resort

Magnificent accommodation is offered in 20 spacious rooms in 10 chalets set amongst the palm trees. All rooms have a bath with shower facility, air-conditioning, ceiling fan in the lounge area, telephone, mini bar, hairdryer, room safe, king-sized bed with mosquito net, private terrace. Non-motorized water sports and tennis are available to all guests free of charge. Big game fishing, fly fishing, diving, boat excursion to other islands are available at extra cost.

Denis Island (350 acres) lies some miles off Mahe, 25 minutes by air. It is situated on the edge of the Seychelles Bank and is a coral cay. Denis Island has a strikingly rich vegetation and the fertile soil, which contains large quantities of guano, is proof that the island was a popular nesting ground for colonies of seabirds years ago. It is still frequented by turtles which lay their eggs in the sand.

Comfortable renovated cottages are dotted along the beaches renowned for their powdery white sand. All rooms have spacious bedrooms with double beds and mosquito net, shower, bath, ceiling fan, hair dryer, tea and coffee making facilities, terrace, ironing board and iron and a minibar. The lodge offers plenty sporting facilities, where windsurfing, sailing, deep-sea fishing, and tennis are amongst the available facilities.
