Day 1: Kinigi

You will be met on arrival at Kigali airport, relax on the two hour drive to Kinigi via Ruhengeri. The road to Ruhengeri is sealed offering stunning scenery of the hills and valleys of this green and lush country. Continue to the base of Sabinyo Mountain, with excellent views of the rest of the Virunga Volcanoes, overnight at Gorilla Mt. View Lodge. Lunch, Dinner. NOTE: We cannot guarantee seeing Gorillas.

Gorilla Mt. View Lodge
This new lodge occupies a clearing halfway up the extinct Sabyinyo volcano’s 12,000ft cone. Each of the eight bungalows has a large open fire, a dressing room and a large bathroom, The veranda offers rows magnificent views. There’s an attractive dining room, a small library and a cozy lounge.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking

Gorilla tracking day. After breakfast take a short drive to Park Headquarters and meet with excellent local guides and trackers who will give a talk on the etiquette of gorilla trekking. We then hike into the forest where the gorillas were seen the night before and track from that point. Overnight at Gorilla Mt View Lodge. All meals.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking

Second gorilla tracking day. Overnight at Kigali Serena Hotel. All meals.

The accommodation comprises of 104 air conditioned rooms with both luxury suites to deluxe rooms. The elegant Diplomat Restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, while The Lounge Bar offers a choice of three purpose designed areas: the bar, the lounge and the terrace. Day 4: Depart

Half day city tour including the genocide museum, drop off at airport to connect with departure flight. Breakfast, lunch.
