The Camp

Basecamp Eagle View strives to set the tone for the future of Sustainable Tourism from an eagle’s-eye perspective. Perched atop a natural hilltop, this astonishing luxury eco-camp is located within Naboisho Conservancy – a highly acclaimed model for nature conservation management.

The innovative architecture of Eagle View allows for the impossible combination of perspective and proximity. The minimalist design perfectly complements the overwhelming surroundings, allowing your imagination to soar as you gaze across the vastness of the African savannah. Eagle View overlooks a natural waterhole, which is frequented throughout the day by wild animals such as elephants, giraffes and antelopes. With more than seventy identified lions Naboisho has a lion population matching that of the Ngorongoro crater, making the odds of spotting the amazing cat practically incomparable.

The Tents

Eagle View Camp consists of nine Double Viewpoint Tents built on elevated platforms. Each tent offers raised canvas ceilings for a spacious feeling, soothing earth coloring, and a king size double or twin beds comfortably fitted with fresh white linen and indulgent duvets. For your ultimate comfort, each tent has a private bathroom area featuring bio-flush toilets and two showers, one inside and one open-air ‘safari shower’. All rooms have a private elevated viewing deck offering exceptional views of Naboisho Conservancy. Two of the Double Viewpoint Tents have separate annexes with two additional beds and a private bathroom area that are great for family use.

The Activities

Basecamp Eagle View offers the perfect selection of activities to truly allow one to settle into the bush and Africa at its finest. Maasai guided walking safaris allow you the unique opportunity to feel Africa under foot and to slow down and learn about the plants and insect life as well as possible close encounters with the larger wildlife. Morning and evening game drives are a classic on safari, and the evening game drives end with a drink of choice in a carefully chosen spot while watching the sun dip out of the vast sky before heading back to camp, searching for the nocturnal wildlife along the way. Community village and project site visits are an amazing cultural experience as well as culture talks and storytelling around the nightly fire pit by the local Maasai. You may also take to the sky in a hot air balloon to take in just how expansive the great Masai Mara is. This activity is at an additional cost and would need to be booked prior to your departure.
