The Lodge

Located in the Heart of the Maya World, minutes away from the magnificent Tikal, Uaxactún and Yaxhá ruins. You can experience the richness of the jungle at its best in Las Lagunas Boutique Hotel. Inspired by a Guatemalan visionary businessman who explored for 30 years the undomesticated rainforest of Peten, the property combines 200 acres of land, the comfort of a Boutique Hotel with its Private Reserve focused in the conservation of the native species of Guatemala. The poolside bar offers snacks and tropical drinks, while the Shultun Restaurant offers international cuisine with local flair and expansive lake views.

Las Lagunas Private Reserve blends a breeding facility of wildlife native species with eco adventure activities such as trekking, bird watching trails, kayaking and 4 x 4 ATV rides.

Las Lagunas Boutique Hotel baosts just 19 spacious suites with views of the lagoon. The waterfront suites afford views of sunrise and sunset from the deck. Connected by high rise paths, these 12 suites were built to offer privacy and comfort in a one bedroom bungalow. Each suite has a cascade shower bathroom, a deck with Jacuzzi, satellite TV, telephone, mini bar, air conditioning, and safe. The deck overlooking the lagoon and the Monkey Island is perfect to enjoy the Jacuzzi while admiring the breathtaking sunrise or sunset in the middle of the tropical rainforest.

The main restaurant, Shultun, has an astonishing view of the lagoon and offers a sophisticated ambiance combined with local gourmet flavors. The chef chooses fresh ingredients from the local market and combines his international experience with the local exotic ingredients to delight your senses.

The bar menu features a wonderful, and diverse, selection of carefully chosen wines, signature cocktails and the well-known international brands of whisky, rum, gin and vodkas.
