The Hotel

Vira Vira Hotel is set in a beautiful and unique location close to Pucón, Chile. It features a 23-hectare native park along the shores of the Liucura River and offers an oasis of peace and recreation. Excursions are included, with a focus on adventure, with snowshoeing or husky sledding available during the winter months (June to September). The hotel has close ties to the local indigenous communities, and a celebration of local culture and traditions is very much part of the overall Vira Vira experience. The culinary experience at Vira Vira is very much a farm-to-table affair. The cuisine focuses on typical Chilean dishes made with fresh local produce. The hotel has a superb wine list, showcasing many of Chile’s lesser-known premium wines.

The Villas

Opened in 2014, Vira Vira’s 21 beautiful villas are named after local trees, with either red or green color schemes, hand–woven rugs, and wall hangings. Each one has a personal slate outdoor hot tub and a wood–burning stove in the living area. All rooms overlook the lagoon and have a beautiful view to the river Liucura or with a majestic view to the Villarrica Volcano.

The Lakes District & Activities

The utterly spectacular landscapes of the Lakes District makes this destination a firm favorite of guests travelling to Chile. Breathtaking glacial lakes mirror the frosted tips of dormant volcanoes and the verdant flora of nearby national parks. Stretching over 300 kilometers, this region was once the homeland of the courageous Mapuche people who fought off the advances of Inca and Spanish invaders. It has since grown from thriving farmlands into the tranquil tourist mecca it is today. Quaint villages, such as Pućon perch along the various lake shorelines and offer adventures such as horse riding, hiking, fishing, mountain climbing, nature walks and watersports. Pućon is situated along the shores of the Villarrica Lake, near the active Volcano Villarrica. Traveler's visiting this destination will be treated to sensational views and landscapes as well as exceptional activities such as the opportunity to hike up the volcano and unwind in a natural hot spring.
