Morning at leisure with the option to take part in one last activity, before you are transferred back to the Twyfelfontein Airstrip after lunch. Your scheduled light aircraft flight takes you northeast to reach the Onguma Game Reserve, located on the eastern boundary of the Etosha National Park. Situated on the eastern side of Etosha, bordering Fisher’s Pan, Onguma Safari Camps are one of Namibia’s best kept secrets! Here you will be afforded the opportunity of experiencing Africa in all her beauty and diversity. Onguma Game Reserve has more than 20,000 hectares of protected land and wildlife, with thirty different animal species consisting of plains game including kudu, giraffe, eland, oryx, hartebeest, zebra, impala and many more roam freely as well as predators such as lion, cheetah, leopard, being common residents of the area.
The latest addition to the already abundant wildlife at Onguma Nature Reserve is a family of black rhinos! More than 300 bird species can also be viewed. During the Namibian summer months the nature reserve becomes a bird-watcher’s paradise with thousands of species migrating to the wetlands created by the seasonal rains and ephemeral river systems. Various waterholes in and around Etosha ensure fantastic photographic opportunities and the thrill of seeing some of the largest mammals in the world.
On day 11 it’s time to head back to Windhoek for your day 12 departure. If time allows, you have the option to take part in a final morning game drive into the Etosha National Park before you are transferred back to the Mokuti Airstrip for you light aircraft flight to the Windhoek International Airport, where you will be met and transferred back to Galton Guesthouse for dinner and overnight. All meals included.
On the morning of day 12 after breakfast you will be transferred to Windhoek International Airport in time to check in for your on-going flight. Breakfast included.
